An allegory about the state of play at the moment. When the bird that rises from the ashes, the phoenix, is alarmed, we should be too. Is this the canary of our times? I wondered. This is a poetic vision, a play on words, an imaginative scene, both minimalist and graphic. A phoenix is an ancient mythological creature but it represents transformation, rebirth, and resilience.
